Our South-African clients wanted to bring their lifestyle, influenced by their South-African heritage, as the guiding design principle for their self build. The contemporary design of this build focuses around two main living areas.

At the front of their home will be the pyjama lounge, a South-African lifestyle concept that provides a place to relax in the evenings, similar to a snug room on the first floor. This will sit under the striking front gable which has extensive glazing to make the most of the beautiful views and natural sunlight.

To the rear the kitchen takes precedence. The kitchen leads out onto a patio with an outdoor kitchen, allowing our self builders to wander out in the British summer and bring some of their South-African love of food, good company and long evenings to their Graven Hill crescent plot.
