This property in Wargrave is a Victorian semi-detached property. Our client’s brief to us was to create a contemporary rear extension which was open plan in nature and opened up the home to the rear garden. This space is much more suited to our client’s needs and modern way of living. The clever use of a curved wall maximises space and draws people through to the family area.
By continuing the same floor finish, inside and out is a technique used to visually make the space feel much larger even when the doors are closed. The large bi-folding doors and level threshold open the living space to the rear patio and garden—ideal for summer socialising with friends and family.
