The brief from our client on this project was to convert their existing integral garage into habitable space, create more open plan style living to the ground floor and to improve the kerb appeal of the property making it more contemporary and set it apart from its neighbours.
We added a glazed entrance hallway which floods the ground floor with natural daylight. Converted the garage into part utility and used the rest of the space to extend the kitchen. This enabled us to create a large open plan kitchen, living, dining area, ideal for family living.
In terms of improving the kerb appeal of the property, we removed the U-PVC cladding and replaced this with acrylic render, replaced all the windows and doors with grey powder coated aluminium, vertical timber cladding to the ground floor walls adds colour, warmth and texture. The flat roof was upgraded to include a sedum topper making it more aesthetically pleasing.
